Brunch and Makeovers - DFW Blogger Meetup

This past weekend I attended the DFW Blogger Meetup at Northpark Mall put together by Kileen of Cute and Little. I was really nervous since I was only familiar with two of the bloggers planning to go. I was under the impression that the other bloggers knew each other or were at least long time Cute and Little followers. It turns out some of us just recently heard about it, and I was not the only person who was not familiar with everyone. Once I sat down and started chatting I wasn't nervous anymore. Everyone was so nice! It was so much fun, let me show you the pics. (Most courtesy of Kileen.)

Fashionably on-time bloggers! Obviously I was late. Silly Saturday morning traffic. Who knew? A normal 40 minute drive took an hour and a half!

2010 Beauty Favorites - A Tag

Steph of http://meibelle.blogspot.com tagged me for a beauty survey! It's not too late right? I mean the Academy Awards don't even go on until February...

Questions:
1-Which lipstick/ lipgloss did you use most often in 2010?

2-What was your favorite eyeshadow this year?

Crazy but I didn't really have a favorite. I would say my Milani Liquif Eye liner in Black is my favorite eyeliner though!

3-What product for the complexion (foundation, blush, etc.,) did you use the most?

Foundation: Make Up For Ever HD- It lasts about 6 hours on me. The skin looks smooth when it's first applied. I've purchased this twice already!

I need to clean!!!

I thought it would be interesting to see if I could blog from my phone, but it's a lot more effort since I can't upload photos from my phone to blogger. I guess I'm doing the text part now so it'll be half done when I log on. Anyhow, here's a look at the top of my dresser. It's mad messy right now and has been for awhile. Hopefully next time you see this it will be spotless. This area and my entire space needs cleaning! It's like a game of I spy. I can't find anything and it keeps piling up and up and up...

On another note I'm starting a diet today because I want to shape up a little before I head out to California next month. I swear I'm like 5 lbs away from my fatest weight ever so it's about time I get my butt in gear. Plus if anyone wants to meet up I'll be embarrassed to see you! I gotta get crackin! I gained 10 lbs since I was last there. The relatives always comment on your appearance first thing. Maybe it's because you love me but it makes me hate you... Anyhow enough emo talk. That's what's going on!

CVS Beauty Sale - A closer look

After reading about the annual Beauty sale at CVS on Nouveau Cheap and Diva Makeup Queen I decided to investigate. (Even though I'm battling a cold!)

My CVS had a well stocked and organized display of the popular L'oreal HiP shadow Duos so I snapped a pic because I am a more visual person. I counted a total of 12 shades that are on sale at 75% off retail price. Your retail price may vary by location but mine was $8.29. After 75% off it came to $2.07. After my $2 coupon I snipped from an old paper it came to $0.07 tada! I swear I never pay more than $2 for these babies! Cut the coupons!!

Christmas Goodies part 2 - The Nutcracker

Greetings from Texas ya'll.

This had to be the best Christmas in years! Usually I do not get into the spirit but this year was different. My brother had an extra ticket to go see The Nutcracker at Bass Hall on Christmas Eve, so since I've never been to a ballet before I was intrigued to go. I've only seen it on PBS and not even the whole thing. I am very familiar with the music however, since I was in Orchestra during highschool. The ballet was amazing, and I was very entertained for those two hours. It went by so quickly. Now I know exactly what a sugar plum fairy looks like. The costume was so so so pretty!

Christmas Goodies part 1

I found this vintage little Hello Kitty ornament from the early 90s in my families storage. I think they gave away these at Sanrio during the holidays. My favorite was Pochacco! I remember we'd go in there and buy stuff just to collect a bunch of these guys. Anyhow...

Lisa and I did another Holiday swap this year and here are the goodies! I'm so excited about the Hi-Tec C pens!
