Cute KeyFobs from Etsy!

I ordered these key fobs from Thien Thanh awhile back but I just HAD to show you the cuteness of this shop! These fobs are $5 each or $3 each when you buy 5. I obviously have more than I need so I'm giving one away in a giveaway soon. Stay tuned for that. I'm not sure which one yet. My sister took the pink one so far and I think her friend wants one too. Comment below which one stands out to you!

Honestly they are just TOO BIG for me to use as a key fob, but I LOVE the fabric she uses.

If you want to make your own here's a link. It's super easy and even easier if you just use ribbon. But at $3-$5 each it's so affordable!

How-To: Wristlet Key Fob Tutorial

I first came across this shop after seeing it on ABS, but it turns out that my sister's online friend is the cousin of the owner of the shop. What a small world!

These are the wallets she is most popular for. Click the photo to visit the shop listing!

Sunshine Award

Thank you to Jessie and Amy for the award!
1. Post the logo on your blog.
2. List 5 random things about you.
3. Pass it to 12 bloggers that inspire you.
  • I've gotten messier as I've gotten older. I think it's that I've accumulated more things than I should.
  • I love getting mail! I used to send handwritten letters to my cousins before everyone started e-mailing.
  • I just started playing farmville, and it's a total time waster but the music is soothing in an annoying way so I keep clicking on my crops and collecting random things.
  • When I lived in TN I took ballet, tap dance, and gymnastics. When I moved to TX I only took gymnastics but my parents took me out of it when I was about 8. They always told me it was b/c I would talk too much during class which scarred me for life. I really loved it! But then a few years ago my mom admitted it was b/c there were no more normal classes. The next level was competition and they didn't want to deal with that. Why did they have to be so mean? Thankful I did have some classes though. You don't see many chubby girls doing good cartwheels very often.
  • I've lost my old glasses for a month or more now and I don't ever think I'm going to be able to find them. It doesn't matter now anyways since my eyes used to my new glasses. I was trying to keep from wearing my new glasses because the lab guy cut them weird. They are heavy on my nose and too shiny on the sides (he polished them for free b/c he messed up. why?). These are actually the second pair he made to fix the botched job but they still didn't turn out right. I gave up on it and just kept wearing my old glasses but now my eyes have changed with the new ones, ugh!

I picked 13 instead of 12 to make a "blogger's dozen." Sorry if you have already received this award!

Mask Monday

Yes, I remembered to post this for Monday! They smell kinda weird and are shaped really strange so I would not recommend these, but I'm still going to use them all and see what happens. There was a little bit of tightening going on when I put this on btw.

TCM Mask Perfectionist Power Correcting Patch for Deeper Eye Lines/Wrinkles. You buy them individually for $0.80 each.

Peace.

pretty lace with konad stamping, notd

I got brainwashed again and felt the need to try the ever so popular Konad nail stamping craze. Wowsocool.com's 30% off sale was ending so I took advantage of it and ordered a few plates (a month ago?). I'm not very good at it but I managed to get one nail to look right. Visit this link to see how it's done. I just wanted to dabble in it a little. I'm not much of a nail person. I've only had two manicures in my life...

This design is from the lace and cloud plate. I originally wanted to try the fishnet plate but it was sold out. I'm glad too because I ended up picking out this plate and I love it! See below for the stock photo. Seriously, skip the popular fishnets plate and go for this one. (m79)

I messed up the middle nails so that's why the pic is blurry. :P And my cuticles always look like crap.
The base coat is OPI Second Honeymoon. A pretty pale pink.
I received this in a swap, and it's my first OPI or non drugstore polish. Thanks K! It's slightly streaky but less streaky with a base coat.

This full nail plate (m79) is so cute with the lace and clouds. Click on the image to shop for it.

I also used Rimmel Pro Polish in 110 French White. It's a nice white and thick enough for stamping. You need something thick enough otherwise it won't transfer to your nail. This was only $3.99 at Walgreens. (don't forget your $1 coupon)

This post by Heather of Eyeconic Makeup totally made me laugh. Check out her before and after polish collection.

EOTD with prep for colour

So I picked up two shadows from Mac's collection, Prep for Colour, that came out recently. I got Hey and Prepped for Glamour. Hey is a Veluxe Pearl which I like and Glamour is a Frost finish which is just okay. I'm more used to the softer shadows which veluxe pearls are. When I got Hey I was frustrated b/c it looked just like All that Glitters which was my first Mac Shadow and Prepped for Glamour is supposed to be close to Satin Taupe. I don't have Satin Taupe but it was on my list of shadows to buy. So I finally buy some shadows and they end up being dupes? ugh, they did not have all that glitters and satin taupe at the store (lost!) so I couldn't do a comparison. I've seen swatches online but I'd like to see it in person.

Originally I liked All that Glitters but the more I look at Hey- the more I like it! It's still looks pink like All that Glitters but it's less red. Some say it's like Naked Lunch? I dunno. At first Hey wasn't soft like All that Glitters and it was pissing me off b/c my brush could not pick up and deposit it very well. Now I've messed with it enough to "break it in" and it's fine. Is this normal for Mac? So right now I'm not really liking All that Glitters anymore, and I may end up swapping it on MakeupAlley.

Then there's Prepped for Glamour. I'm not extremely happy about this color because I think pulls red when I put it on my eyelid too. I've read that Satin Taupe is more purple and that's what I've been looking for. So dang- I might just swap this for Satin Taupe... The last thing a poor girl needs are mac dupes. [karlasugar swatches]

In order to get a photo that had any resemblance to what it looks like I had to sit in front of a window even though it washed me out and makes me look like I have no eyeshadow on. But it is what it is...

MAC Shroom as highlight, Hey in inner corner, and Prepped for Glamour in outer crease.
MUFE black liner top, maroon (bottom), and Estee Lauder mascara (weak)
When looking at this photo I realize I need to tight-line and re-curl my lashes! oops.

MAC Peach Ombre blush- I love this blush!
Rose studs in denim blue. I've got a few new colors in! They go quickly.

Gifts from Japan plus cute pup

My long time high-school friend finally came back to visit and she brought back these goodies for me! She teaches English in Japan so we really haven't talked in a very long time, but I was so glad when she called me up! We went out to the Cheesecake Factory for some fatty American food and it was so much fun. Don't you like how even though you might have changed or not spoken to your friend for sometime you can still just kick back and hang out like the good old times?

Picture above are socks for flip flops, a Stitch Pen, a packet of tea (?), and a Kit Kat! The Stitch pen is really cute. He's on a famous bridge wearing a bear costume. aww!

Citrus Blend Kit Kat - This flavor is really good! It reminds me of a creamsicle. or dreamsicle? It's been such a long time since I actually had one so I can't say for sure. It smelled really nice when you opened the package- all citrus. There's a little bit of sour from the wafer cream but not as much as the Sour Orange Kit Kats. This is a limited edition from Shikoku so it's not likely I can find more. :(

Melted. :( It's tragic I left it in the car while we were eating. I popped it in the freezer before I ate it and it was fine though! Writing this review is really making me want some orange sherbet right now!

we bought too much food

shrimp spring rolls with hoisin sauce - These particular rolls are not that great to me, I just like the sauce. I don't like the mint they put in this because it's too overpowering. I ended up not eating this.

banh beo - mini rice pancake topped with dried shrimp, mung bean, scallions, and fish sauce. It's probably hard to eat for those not used to chopsticks. I would suggest using a fork to scoop it up and shove it in your mouth, haha. Right now they're piled really close but each one is just a white circle of about 2" in diameter.

banh cam - Gooey flour with a fried and crunchy exterior coated with sesame seeds. Inside you'll find mung beans mixed with coconut. I usually feel greasy after eating this so I only eat half. I think these banh cam's are my mom's weakness and her favorite childhood snack. She's always buying it and eating it but then yells at me when I eat a taco or something...

Kit Kat Jackpot nom nom nom

Whoopee! I finally got some LE Kit-Kats! The gorgeous Stacey (twitter/blog friend and customer) was able to help me out. We actually ended up swapping chocolate for jewelry, haha. I've been craving some crazy Kit-Kats for a really long time. The first time I had a Japanese Kit-Kat was probably 2-3 years ago and it was Watermelon flavored. My bro's co-worker gave him one but it was melted and mushy. Well he gave it to me, and I've been curious ever since. When I stopped by Narita airport en route to Vietnam (summer 2008) I checked the shops but I only found a green tea kind and I remember it being way overpriced. Well I bought it and devoured it in Vietnam. So good! Why I didn't buy more I dunno! I think I was too busy oohing and ahhing over Royce chocos.

Well anyway sometime last year I developed a yearning for some crazy kit-kats and well, here they are!

The Custard is soo good! Stacey's fav! It's really sweet though.
The Sour Orange flavor is pretty good too if you like citrus chocolates. I didn't realize at first it was sour until I researched it online. You can definitely taste the sour part. They probably mean tang. They sell them in bags like this for mass munching.

You can also get them in small boxes like this. You get two packs of sticks with two sticks in each pack.
Each flavor is labeled. I was trying out my new bamboo tablet so sorry if you can't read my handwriting. I've only tried 3 flavors so far. I'm hoarding these like little golden nuggets.
