depotting origins eyeshadow

I got to try this eyeshadow because I received a $10 off coupon from Origins (my fav!) for my birthday! This is my first eyeshadow from them! They cost about the same as mac.. so I wouldn't buy them without a coupon.. but the coupon made is seriously affordable! I was looking for a good color to diffuse dark shadows in a smokey look, and this is perfect for that! It's called Sun Tan. I don't think it's sold anymore since it's a limited edition color. Though you may be able to find it at your Origins because the makeup line is not as popular as the skincare stuff they have. Not that it isn't good, it's just not popular!

I've recently been into filling up my Mac palette.. and this fits perfectly! Pictures after the jump!
Depotting this is really easy!

Try to wedge a thin knife into where I have shown. If you wedge it in there real good, you'll be able to pop the top part of the shadow out.

This is what the back looks like. Loosen the glue holding the eyeshadow pan to the plastic by dropping a few drops of alcohol into the tiny hole on the back. Then just take a hard and pointy object like a thumb tack or nail and poke the whole. Gently ease it out, you don't want to crack the shadow.

After gently pushing out the shadow, add a magnet, and you are done!

jewelry designs preview

Here's a preview of my new jewelry collection! Featuring swarovski crystals, chalcedony briolettes, and pearls on sterling silver, gold filled, or gold plated. I use all options for better price points to benefit my customers. I like the idea of have really affordable handmade jewelry. I don't like the idea of pricing antiqued silver based jewelry at sterling silver prices. I will be telling you exactly what it is. Every piece I make is quality hand crafted. I hope you will follow me on my jewelry journey!

my first tomato

Wow, my first home grown tomato! It's pretty huge! I think it's a "better boy"... but I can't be sure. I'm no expert! The garden store was not very organized, and I just picked a random one. I realized I haven't done many posts about my garden so I thought I'd share these photos. More photos after the break. I never expected my tomato plant to grow so big! I really just expected it to die from lack of water. :0

I don't know why it's cracked, but this tomato is actually from early summer. I've had about 10 so far. Still counting...

Great on a salad or toasted french bread sprinkled with salt and crackled pepper.

Still a baby!

Can't believe how fast it grew. I got the tiny plant on the left for $0.69 cents!

Well, why not?

Oh my gosh, I found out about a great deal on e.l.f products! Enter code WWYB75S to receive 75% off their Studio Line! I've never tried ANY e.l.f. products before, and I am pretty skeptical, but 75% off is a good reason for me to try! Right now I consider e.l.f. to be crappy makeup... but we will see...

UPDATE: The discount is no longer unlimited. They limit it to $10 now. Sorry!

I ended up ordering $86 worth of products with my sister! oh my, and I only ended up paying $23.75! yay! Free shipping! You can get free shipping with an order of $75 or more (before coupon). So if you order $75 of studio line products then you'll only pay $18.75. Whoa, so cheap especially if you really like elf! I ordered mostly brushes since I heard good things about them. The eyeshadows and blushes are not included in the deal! :( That's too bad because they have a nice selection. The packaging of their Studio line reminds me of Nars products so much. I think they purposely did that...

I will be sharing all of what I ordered! Can't wait!

Oh yes, I signed up for cashback at www.bing.com/cashback and got %10 back! They take the 10% from the $86 I "spent", so that makes another discount of $8.60. I just checked my account, and it is already pending! That is way faster than ebates. Ebates takes so so long to get anything back! I feel like this post is a lot of advertising, but it really is to help you save!

So, to sum it up:
code: WWYB75S
deal: get 75% off Studio Line not including eyeshadow and blush
shipping: spend $75 before discount to get free shipping ($6.95 value)
optional: click to elf through bing and get %10 back

new jewelry designs

The reason I haven't been posting lately is because I've been working on my jewelry collection. I have decided to bring this to the online market after good response from my friends and family. I'm so glad to be able to share these sneak peeks with you!

If you like any of the designs, please let me know! Also, if you are interested in purchasing please leave a comment. :) I will be adding prices later. Of course, if there is anything you would like to customize, please let me know in the comments!

All silver materials are Sterling Silver!
Crystal AB Pendant Bicones on Sterling Silver French Earwires with Sterling Silver stardust balls.

A gracefully dainty lariat with a Crystal AB column that drapes through the heart. So romantic and light! Sterling silver everything! Please specify a length.

As you can see, the length can be adjusted on a lariat. I also have matching dangling earrings to go with this necklace!!

Fun and classy, long shooting star earrings in Crystal AB and Tanzanite(light purple) stars. Reminds me of Mario Galaxy.

Dinner with Friends Look

Hi, so this is the really simple look I created for dinner with my friends. I only used two mineral eye shadows, and one highlighter from nyx. I recently received In The Garden and Mystic Night eye shadow minerals and I LOVE them! So pretty! In The Garden is just like a dark topaz exploded with diamonds. Mystic Night is a great dupe for the purple shadow liner from the Smashbox Untamed collection. An intense and sparkling violet.

Eyes:
-Prime with Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Buff
-Using a synthetic brush, pack In The Garden (from everydayminerals.com) on your brush and pat all over the lid, below the crease.
-Then using a blender brush blend it out into the crease to create a smokey effect.
-Next, use a pencil brush or crease brush to define the outer corners of the eye with Mystic Night (from everdayminerals.com).
-Use the blender brush again to blend the two colors together until you get the shape you want.
-Finally add a highlight to the inner eyes with a light shimmer like the white color from the NYX Hippie Chic trio. I named it Soy Milk for labeling purposes.

Foundation:
-Prime with MUFE HD Primer in Neutral
-Conceal with half mixture of Sunlight and Peach (from everydaminerals.com)
-Swirl mineral makeup EDM Light Medium all over face with large kabuki

Cheeks:
-Use a fluffy blush brush to tap and blend EDM Walkee Talkee onto cheeks.
-Use a large fan brush to tap on 24.7 Bronzer Palette.

Finish:
-Lightly swirl MUFE HD Microfinish Powder. I love this stuff!
