More mail love

A lot of mail love from the fab Stephanie of Beauty Is Not Caused, It Is. If you have not been to her blog, you must go and show her some love! I think she may be my #1 Jewelry fan, and I love her right back! <3

The cutest lip gloss ever! Complete with a girly bow on top!
NYX Mega Shine gloss in Cream Soda and NYX Goddess of the Night in French Kiss
Non-sticky and very pretty!

NYX trio with Orange, Golden Orange, and Peach. Thanks for adding to my trio addiction!
To depot or not? I have a 12-pan MAC palette because I was obsessed with depotting and organizing, but sometimes I miss the convenience of a little palette. I do have the 4-pan ones that I fill up with coordinating shadows, but most of the time I only use three! So I kind of defeat my original plan of depotting them all! Depotting gets addicting, once you start you can't stop!

Palladio Rice paper, oil-absorbing tissues - to keep my oily face in check from my bad diet of late. I haven't tried this brand before! oooh!

Maybelline Stylish Smokes in Natural Smokes!! Finally I have my chubby fingers on this baby! Thanks Steph!! <3 I will try your looks with this, YEAH!

So many goodies for me to play with! Thank you!! I never thought I'd make friends with so many wonderful people on blogger! Love my handful of readers! <3

Oh yeah, I updated my blog sale earlier this week with drugstore items. CLICK HERE or the TAB at the top of the page. Most items are NEW.

Dinner with Friends Look

Hi, so this is the really simple look I created for dinner with my friends. I only used two mineral eye shadows, and one highlighter from nyx. I recently received In The Garden and Mystic Night eye shadow minerals and I LOVE them! So pretty! In The Garden is just like a dark topaz exploded with diamonds. Mystic Night is a great dupe for the purple shadow liner from the Smashbox Untamed collection. An intense and sparkling violet.

Eyes:
-Prime with Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Buff
-Using a synthetic brush, pack In The Garden (from everydayminerals.com) on your brush and pat all over the lid, below the crease.
-Then using a blender brush blend it out into the crease to create a smokey effect.
-Next, use a pencil brush or crease brush to define the outer corners of the eye with Mystic Night (from everdayminerals.com).
-Use the blender brush again to blend the two colors together until you get the shape you want.
-Finally add a highlight to the inner eyes with a light shimmer like the white color from the NYX Hippie Chic trio. I named it Soy Milk for labeling purposes.

Foundation:
-Prime with MUFE HD Primer in Neutral
-Conceal with half mixture of Sunlight and Peach (from everydaminerals.com)
-Swirl mineral makeup EDM Light Medium all over face with large kabuki

Cheeks:
-Use a fluffy blush brush to tap and blend EDM Walkee Talkee onto cheeks.
-Use a large fan brush to tap on 24.7 Bronzer Palette.

Finish:
-Lightly swirl MUFE HD Microfinish Powder. I love this stuff!

Greetings!

Just wanted to say hi today since it's my birthday! I feel old today. :) That's dill flowers behind me if you were wondering.

I'm wearing NYX Trio 19 with Barely There, Champagne, and Root Beer. Love it!

Put Barely There on entire eye, dab Champagne on the ball, and shade with Root Beer on the outer eye. Blend Blend Blend! Line with black/brown.

NYX from Cherry Culture, tip for free shipping

Hey, so this is what I ordered from Cherry Culture. I wasn't going to order anything, but they were offering free shipping during the last few days of the sale, so I jumped on that.

I love the trio on the left. They are really great neutrals! It didn't look like much in the photos that I've seen, but it's my favorite. I grab for it every time now! I don't have Mac shadows to compare, but I've read it's a great alternative. I've replaced most of my old eyeshadows with these!

From left to right:
#19 Barely There, Champagne, Root Beer
#12 Aloha, Mink Brown, Dark Bronze
#39 Casablanca (Pewter, Soft Pink, Slate)

Pearl Mania in Sky Pink and Nude.
I satisfied with the pigments. Very sparkly and good pigmentation. I'm not much of a pigment person because of the mess, but I like pressing them! I got these two pressed with alcohol and glycerin in homemade foil pans, and then I baked them. The nude one won't pick up because I added too much glycerin, so I'll be making a new one once I get the pans in.

Pencils in Lime and Pink
The pencils are horrible! What a waste of $1!! Bad color, no pigmentation, not smooth. Everything a pencil shouldn't be!

Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It was only $16 for all of it. I'm glad I got into the NYX trio craze. :) I would recommend getting some next time there is a sale or you have coupons for Ulta. Last big sale they offered free shipping on ANY order near the end of the sale. So sign up for the emails, and just wait for it to come. If they don't by the next to last day, then they may not be offering it, so just order it if you still want it. That's my tip!

NYX Shipment, my basil

These are my basil seeds that sprouted! How cute!

I got my shipping from Cherry Culture today! This was from the 50% off sale. I didn't think I would order because I can get this stuff cheap at ULTA, but ULTA doesn't have much of a selection. I was really interested in the trios, and I just threw in some eye pencils and pigments for $1 each. I am not happy about the eye pencils, but at $1 what can you expect? The eye shadows look promising. I will test the makeup out and get back with pictures!

Now to fix my chair... I think somebody lowered it!
