I found this vintage little Hello Kitty ornament from the early 90s in my families storage. I think they gave away these at Sanrio during the holidays. My favorite was Pochacco! I remember we'd go in there and buy stuff just to collect a bunch of these guys. Anyhow...
Lisa and I did another Holiday swap this year and here are the goodies! I'm so excited about the Hi-Tec C pens!

Kit Kat Jackpot nom nom nom
at
1:59 AM
Whoopee! I finally got some LE Kit-Kats! The gorgeous Stacey (twitter/blog friend and customer) was able to help me out. We actually ended up swapping chocolate for jewelry, haha. I've been craving some crazy Kit-Kats for a really long time. The first time I had a Japanese Kit-Kat was probably 2-3 years ago and it was Watermelon flavored. My bro's co-worker gave him one but it was melted and mushy. Well he gave it to me, and I've been curious ever since. When I stopped by Narita airport en route to Vietnam (summer 2008) I checked the shops but I only found a green tea kind and I remember it being way overpriced. Well I bought it and devoured it in Vietnam. So good! Why I didn't buy more I dunno! I think I was too busy oohing and ahhing over Royce chocos.
Well anyway sometime last year I developed a yearning for some crazy kit-kats and well, here they are!
The Custard is soo good! Stacey's fav! It's really sweet though.
The Sour Orange flavor is pretty good too if you like citrus chocolates. I didn't realize at first it was sour until I researched it online. You can definitely taste the sour part. They probably mean tang. They sell them in bags like this for mass munching.
You can also get them in small boxes like this. You get two packs of sticks with two sticks in each pack.
Each flavor is labeled. I was trying out my new bamboo tablet so sorry if you can't read my handwriting. I've only tried 3 flavors so far. I'm hoarding these like little golden nuggets.

Swap with Cookiie for Gosh
at
6:16 AM
I did a swap back in February (?) with Tiffany aka Cookiie from MilknCookiie. Their blog is really pretty and light plus there's tons of product reviews of things from Sasa. (mostly Asian products)
Anyhow, Tiffany wanted some ecoTools, and I was curious about the Gosh Lipsticks so a swap is born. She lives in the Netherlands, but it only took a week to arrive I think. I remember it being extremely fast! Take a look below if you're nosey. :P
There was really good gummy candy too. All gone...
Gosh Velvet Touch Lipsticks in Nougat and Darling. I really like Nougat. It looks messed up because I had trouble opening the seal. I ended up twisting the tube when it was still closed. Darling looks way to light to me. I probably going to be swapping this if there is any interest. I'm probably not even going to swatch it- I can just tell already. A part of me is just still curious though.
Everything else was extra! Thank you so much girls!!
Catrice Absolute Moisture Lipstick. It's a nice coral with some shimmer. Soft Coral or Spicy Coral... I forgot. I love the logo too! haha, remind you of something? I wonder if she knew?
Etos Baked Eyeshadow. The pigmentation is really good! I love it! I always wanted to try a shadow from overseas. I heard something in them (not allowed in US) makes them much better. I love something a little illegal. I also have a new love for baked eyeshadows. Thank you so much for going out of the way to include these extras :)
It's exciting to try things from other countries, and I'm so lucky to have made friends from all over the world. You gals are the best! If anyone needs help locating something- don't hesitate to ask!

Since Beauty Blogging
at
8:30 AM
So I decided to not let my ass off this chair until I make a post here!
I just checked, and I've been blogging for almost 9 months now! whoa! It started off with me watching people putting on makeup on youtube (before they were called GURUS). Then I decided I wanted to share my own input instead of just lurking on other people's blogs. I've actually blogged since 2003. I went from emo blog, to photo blog, to live journal, to no blog, and now back to blogger via makeup obsession.
So a few days ago I came across Sparkle is my Crack where Lisa made a post of things she things she has started doing since blogging. I thought this was a cool idea, so here's mine!
1. New vocabulary words
When I first started reading blogs, I'd be like WHAT THE F--- is an EOTD or FOTD?? I didn't want to ask and sound like a dumb nut. I think I screamed when I finally figured it out. A scream of shock because it was so dumb. Then there's HG (holy grail) and DD (dear daughter). Those are stupid terms in my opinion. I think there are still some out there that I haven't figured out yet. I used EOTD in some of my posts now just to torture some sad fool like me. I can be slightly evil.
2. More new vocabulary
The word HAUL. To me hauling meant pulling something or hauling oats or haul your ass over here. Now it's used in regards to buying lots of stuff. I think Aubrey / fafinettex3 coined this word. She'd be hauling this and that (okay mostly MAC) but I was always surprised at how much people hauled at one time. Then there's the collective hauling with tons of stuff x tons of stuff. (damn, after i typed this I went to check if I spelled her name right and now I want a lippie she just "hauled." crap.)
3. Swapping
I did a few swaps here and there before blogging via Makeup Alley, but I never had much (or wanted much) then. Now I have too much stuff and want too much stuff, lol. Plus, I really prefer blog swapping much more! Less chance of swap-lifting and you can sell your stash for cash. I've met so many beautiful and nice ladies here on blogger- love swapping with ya! I feel really fortunate to have met you all!
4. Reusing padded envelopes
Some of my swaps on makeup alley came in the envelope that I had sent them first. At first I thought it was weird and cheap. Now I'm okay with it b/c I realize those padded envelops really add up. I think it's $1.29 for a decent sized one at regular price. It's best to buy in bulk when Walgreens has them for 3/$1. But reusing is good too I think. Remember, Recycle, Reduce, Reuse? They made us chant this in elementary school. I reuse envelopes for swapping only, not for jewelry sales btw. If the envelope looks dirty or is falling apart, don't reuse it. What I do is cut off the old flap, cut into one side a rectangle so I can fold over a new section, and tape it down.
5. Not using makeup my mom suggested
My mom suggested Estee Lauder foundation to me my senior year or highschool. It seems like the mom-foundation makeup brand. Sad for them. Their gold packaging reminds me of YSL but YSL seems to sell better thanks to makeup gurus. haha. Anyhow, I realize now my mom's knowledge of makeup is limited, and since then I have been experimenting with lots of different brands.
6. Buying makeup products weekly
I used to buy every now and then, but now I'm always buzzing around the makeup section like an obsessed makeup junkie or stalking the internet for deals.
7. Overflowing drawer of makeup
Before blogging I tried to keep my makeup to one drawer, but now it's spread to my dresser... floor... boxes... my room's a mess!
8. Stacks of packing boxes
This goes with #4 of reusing envelopes. I keep some of the shipping boxes I get so I can reuse them later. It really comes in handy when I'm in a pinch. I mostly flatten them and stash them away, but they grow in numbers... Oh yes, please reuse the boxes I mail things out in. :)
9. Trying bronzer
I never tried bronzer because I didn't want to be darker. I thought it was suppossed to just make you look tan, and that's the last thing I wanted. Now I know better, but I still stuck at it. sticking to blush/bronzer mixes.
10. Got sucked into buying things I didn't really want/need.
There's something about seeing someone else have something that works for them and wanting it for yourself. It's like we're on the never-ending quest to find the perfect blush or lipstick etc. Pretty on you? okay pretty on me!!
11. Wear lipstick
I never really wore lipstick unless I went to a party. Now I put it on at weird times of the day so I can stare at my lips or test out products. It's so weird. Now I'm so curious I even want to buy a mac one. I used to just love my lip color with any sheer gloss b/c they are so pigmented, but now I know too much of what's out there...
12. Pictures of myself
Started taking pictures of my eyeballs. Currently it was only available to those of the cast of Lost.
13. No Gardening
I used to garden a hell of a lot more. Now I'm always on the computer. I even forgot to plant my bulbs this winter. It's not too late yet, but I'm just lazy now. The old hyacinths from last year already came up b/c Texas weather is crazy. Bulbs come up after it gets gold then warm . Well Texas gets cold and warm so often the bulbs are confused. They're supposed to come up in March/April.
I think there's tons more, but I'll save it for another time. I hope this long ass post makes up for my lack of blogging. I will try to post some Alice stuff on my jewelry blog later tonight! :)
Please do this on your blog if you want!! I'd love to read it! There is no limit or number required. Just whatever comes to mind.
Some swaps I did in January. Thanks ladies! <3
Swap with Megan. That's Rimmel Airy Fairy! Very close to what I want to dupe. I love the edm brushes! See how I made one dirty already? thanks so much! <3
Swap with Steph. Thanks for all the goods! The eye shadows are great! Sadly Nymph makes me look like I'm wearing glue... lol. Plus I was always curious about those revlon glosses. The minerals are a little yellow, but I can make it work. <3 you.
Swap with Jessie. She was kind enough to help me find Rimmel Nude Delight b/c they don't sell it where I am. I swapped her some batiste and candy. That girl's got a sweet tooth like me! Thanks for the minerals! <3 I'm on a mineral kick right now. hehe.

Mail Love from Megan
at
9:09 AM
Gotta post some stuff so I can bury the food posts. I don't want Megan to run out in the middle of the night on a hunt for spring rolls!
Megan sent me this package after I surprised her with Christmas gifts in our swap. She really wanted the HiP gunmetal duo, and I wanted to try some fancy korean lashes, so that's what we swapped! Thank you! The Darkness lashes look so nice! Not too scary, lol.
Gotta be the cutest Hello Kitty stickers I've ever seen!
Flirt eyeshadows from Kohls! They're pretty good eyeshadows especially when you have Kohl's Cash to spend! They're not the most pigmented on their own, but they have really pretty colors! It's great over any eyeshadow base. I think they're generally better than some drugstore brands for sure. The packaging has got to be the worst ever though, it's hard to figure out how to open it the first time. I ended up depotting my other ones. The shadow pans are very magnetic so they'll stick to any magnet-backed palette.
Limoncello (on my wishlist! I have a weird thing for lime shadows. I'm all satisfied now!)
Moonstone (like some of my usernames. it's my birthstone.)
Lime Light (pretty and iridescent)
swatched on base from L to R: Limoncello, Moonstone, Lime Light
Thank you Megan! <3
I'm so behind on all my posts. I've got more mail posts and tags to do, then I can do reviews!

shopping by blogs
at
9:06 AM
Stuck on what to buy for your loved ones for Christmas? Checkout these blogger shops from around the world! You'll find unique and handcrafted goods here! These are items I purchased plus a holiday swap!
First up, herrohachi by Kym. She makes hilarious t-shirts! She'll even do a custom one for you. Got any ideas? Check out this Canadian!

Thank you for all the extras! <3 This one is for my slave! Sorry about the late posting. I thought she may look on here, but she doesn't. She sees enough of me! I love this shirt. Very cutely designed! Not too fobby, lol. When I went back to VN I wanted to have a shirt that said "hotter than texas" on it. I don't think I'm hot btw. It's part of the joke. Okay, random joke only I get. :) Now buy a shirt, and tell her I sent you!

Audrey of Drey Jewelry has gorgeous and unique designs from France! Her jewelry is k-fashion meets France. When I saw these earrings, I was like "MUST BUY" even with all the jewelry I make myself. You'll feel the same when you see her other pieces. She was kind enough to send clay cake and some caramels along! The best caramels I ever had, seriously. I just <3 all French things!
We all know and love Lisa of He Qi Crystal Designs. We did a holiday swap! Thanks for all the goodies! Love the masks, tags, and pigments! You will find designs to go crazy over here as well. She's even giving one of them away this month!
Plus, don't forget my shop, Julu Jewelry! It's always open!

Gotta pimp my goods, lol!

What I got in the mail
at
1:30 PM
I swapped with ect of e.motion in: motion. She is such a sweet gal, and I love reading her blog. She just posted some amazing photos of her trip to Kona. Please check her out. She makes these adorable little charms with clay. They are the cutest charms I have ever seen! L-R: Mochi, star, cupcake.
Stacieee's first batch of pretty bracelets. I had to get my hands on one of these puppies. She was after all my first blogger order! She included the pink one, shy cupid, as a gift. Thank you so much! They are more beautiful in person! I think she still has a few left.
I was so surprised to find this in my mail box. There was no need, but you hit the spot with asian, french, and sleeping goodies! Thank you so much! :) Joanna has a contest going on right now! Your odds are good to win. Please check her out! She also makes video posts instead of typing, so it's a nice break from the eye strain of reading so many blogs. (I still gladly read them all though!)

Swap with Lisa and some extra Love!
at
1:42 AM
Lisa of He Qi Crystal Designs and I did a jewelry swap! Here's what I got! Aren't these earrings so precious?! They remind me of my birthday cakes from when I was a kid. I'd always make my mom save me a flower to eat. I loved the blue roses! And, funny enough she had these one-of-a-kind flower clay earrings in her shop! yum!

Thank you so much for the masks! I love masks! woohoo! Cute pouch with apples! You guys should really check her out. She's a very popular jewelry maker in the online realm! I was originally drawn to her first company name HeHe Productions. The reason is because my very first website in highschool was named hehehehe. I think I named it that because I always preferred saying "hehe" when chatting vs "lol". I was never much of an "lol" girl, but I have since caved. My hehehehe site is no longer up, but I wish it was. I can't find the files. It was pre-facebook coolness. Anyhow...
Click to see what Adriyah sent me!
I also got a love package from Adriyah!! wow, I couldn't believe she wanted to send me her fan brush. I dunno why, but I like having fan brushes around. They're just fun and fluffy! Maybe it's the Asian in me. I love hand fans too. Thank you!! How did she know I love Origins? haha! I was so excited to see that and a Laneige sample.
Visit her blog As Pink As My Juicy and check out her blog sale!
