Well if you like watching silly Asian men, here's a video parody of the Brown Eyed Girls Abracadabra video.
It's still not as epic as the YATTA video. :P
and on a side note: I wish I could dance! I used to blame it on being Asian but no, it's just me.
*edit*
for reference the original video from Brown Eyed Girls
and the classic YATTA video (2005)

potstickers, crazy eyes, and pancakes
at
9:37 AM
Awhile back the sis and I went to a Korean supermarket and we decided to just eat dinner there. The pics speak for themselves. They are also from my ghetto phone so excuse the low quality. :)
A box of pot stickers! So good. I love the dipping sauce. I can never make it right. When I add the vinegar to the soy sauce it just tastes nasty. Any tips?
Hot damn she looks scary... Drinking Melon Ramune. I wanted to try this but I was on my soda ban.
Me hiding behind some canned coffee. Yes canned coffee. Not bad but not good either.
I forgot exactly what's called but it's meaty mush to me. Rather nasty and badly cooked. I ate the tofu and soup but tossed out the meat. What a waste!
Across the street there was this sign for Plus Chicken. I swear I laughed for a few minutes at the sign. It looks like a thumbs up, but oh not it's also a friggin chicken!!
Charlotte Russe type store. Lots of pretty things! We got nothing though.
These are supposedly Chinese pancakes? I dunno.. but the syrup was on the inside. How convenient! It was so good but way too sweet. And btw no we're not pigs- this was from another trip. :P

New Blogger Custom Layout Feature! OMG
at
6:00 AM
I think I squealed when I realized that Blogger has FINALLY stepped it up and come up with a way for you to custom design your blog layout EASILY. Practically every single other new blogging system allows you to customize freely and so after more than 10 yrs blogger has beat them all with the new features! This is actually the best WYSIWYG platform I've seen so far. It stands for What You See Is What You Get. The term refers to designing webpages with drag and drop or point and click- no coding required.
Introducing the Blogger Template Designer
How do you access this amazing new feature? You have to be signed in through http://draft.blogger.com/
For people new to blogger draft:
If you are already signed in you may need to sign out first and then sign back in at that link.
For people using blogger draft:
You should already see a new link under the Layout tab.
You can test it out on a spare blog but I would test it out on your main blog to see just how awesome it is. Nothing saves unless you hit the final big button "apply to blog"
and shall I mention
NO LOST WIDGETS. Yes, all your widget info remains intact.
FREELY RESIZE your columns.
Don't be scared. If you can scroll and click you can do this!
Watch the video below to see it in action if you're still scared.
If that's still not good enough, read this post by the blogger team with all the details.
http://bloggerindraft.blogspot.com/2010/03/blogger-template-designer.html
A couple things:
You'll need to be using IE 7 or newer, Firefox, or Chrome. Some effects won't be visible in preview mode for IE 8 but it will be when you publish.
The only thing left for blogger to fix now is an improved comment system! Then it's golden! :)
So I've changed my blog a little as you can see. I'm gonna be playing around with it more when I have more time. I think it's ugly with the yellow but I wanted something fresh cuz I'm HAPPY! :D I've been wanting to change it for some time but became lazy. I was browsing templates for a friend who I thought needed a blogger makeover. (cough, cough, MEGAN)
If you end up changing your layout comment below and let me know!! I want to see!

First Sasa Haul
at
7:57 PM
I've been wanting to try some cool Asian products from Sasa.com for some time now. This was my first time purchasing masks and such myself. What I know of Asian products is purely through swaps from the kind blogger friends I have. Now I too have cool products I can't read the packaging of... Things are probably just cooler when you can't read them. Mystery makes it cool. It'll end up being something way lame once translated.
Happy St. Patricks Day by the way. Enjoy free shipping on my site today only with code "lucky". shop.julujewelry.com
Sorry the pics aren't all cool looking in a lightbox. Fail. It's just faster this way.
Can you say blogger brainwashed? I've read countless blog posts about Sasa so I had to try it. From what I gather it's a giant beauty store in HK similar to Ulta. (mid and low end products)
The shipping was pretty fast for me. It only took 12 days and included a tracking number. The shipping time will vary from 2 weeks to a month long depending on when you order (during holiday). You can pay with a credit card or Paypal. There are not fees. Shipping is only $6 flat-rate!! That's really good considering this big box. It's not so great if you just want one thing on the other hand.
Nicely wrapped in bubble wrap with foam peanuts to cushion it further.
All the goodies laid out.
Espie Lipcare. Vitamin E + Milk. It has a nice smell and that's all I know so far. It's kind of coconutty. Reminds me of something I know... The packaging reminds me of the Blistex silk & shine. I haven't used it yet. I want to finish up my Aquafina first. It's buy one get one free!! After I ordered it, I read this review on it where a girl stated it was her holy grail balm- so my expectations are high. I still have the Sugar lip balm I haven't even tried yet. sigh... my stash grows...

Swap with Cookiie for Gosh
at
6:16 AM
I did a swap back in February (?) with Tiffany aka Cookiie from MilknCookiie. Their blog is really pretty and light plus there's tons of product reviews of things from Sasa. (mostly Asian products)
Anyhow, Tiffany wanted some ecoTools, and I was curious about the Gosh Lipsticks so a swap is born. She lives in the Netherlands, but it only took a week to arrive I think. I remember it being extremely fast! Take a look below if you're nosey. :P
There was really good gummy candy too. All gone...
Gosh Velvet Touch Lipsticks in Nougat and Darling. I really like Nougat. It looks messed up because I had trouble opening the seal. I ended up twisting the tube when it was still closed. Darling looks way to light to me. I probably going to be swapping this if there is any interest. I'm probably not even going to swatch it- I can just tell already. A part of me is just still curious though.
Everything else was extra! Thank you so much girls!!
Catrice Absolute Moisture Lipstick. It's a nice coral with some shimmer. Soft Coral or Spicy Coral... I forgot. I love the logo too! haha, remind you of something? I wonder if she knew?
Etos Baked Eyeshadow. The pigmentation is really good! I love it! I always wanted to try a shadow from overseas. I heard something in them (not allowed in US) makes them much better. I love something a little illegal. I also have a new love for baked eyeshadows. Thank you so much for going out of the way to include these extras :)
It's exciting to try things from other countries, and I'm so lucky to have made friends from all over the world. You gals are the best! If anyone needs help locating something- don't hesitate to ask!

Ten Honest Things About Me Tag
at
3:43 AM
So I have drafts of tags saved from November... yeah I'm so bad about them but they are fun to do and read! I've been trying to do the color tag since then (linda). It could be next. I think I'm just gonna do pics of hauls, catch up on tags, food pics, talk about dry shampoo, and the occasional beauty review. The easy way out. Hope that sounds okay 'cause it's not like there's a lack of swatches or product reviews here on blogger. I'm not trying to be the next Karen or Temptalia if you know what I mean. Those girls seem to do this full time and they're really good at it too.
Anyhow, since Megan called me out on it I gotta do this tag now! It's the general consensus. Stephanie = bad with tags. lol.
[include any photo]
Me with fobby glasses (3d glasses) and the slave. Why is she smiling? She's laughing at me!
Ten Honest Things About Me
1. I'm Viet but I can't speak it very well besides the everday things like "when's dinner? I'm home. I need to pee. That's gross." I know if people are talking trash about me though. I can understand it more than I can speak it. And if you tell an older viet lady that I don't speak it then they look down on you like a failure. It's harsh. I'm thinking f-u on the inside...
2. I was born in Tennessee. hey y'all. I hate that phrase. I lived there until I was 5 or so.
3. I LOVE romantic period pieces. Specifically British ones and ones that have a happy ending.
4. I am addicted to TV.
5. I'm only 5'2" but I could be like 1/8" shorter than that? Don't like to think about it. I'd rather not know and pretend I'm 5'2".
6. I hate bath and body works. Do I need to expand? Not much of a lotion person. Dry skin doesn't bother me much.
7. I like photography so I'm way fatter looking in person. Angles are my best friends.
8. I like traveling but don't have money to do it often. Mostly I end up in Orange County if I do travel.
9. I have been keeping up with my blog friends more than my real life friends. Sorry G, I still love you! I take it seriously too. I love that I have friends all over the world now. Including the Philippines and Canada. How cool is that?! (My right hand hurts sometimes from all the clicking I do though. :P)
10. I miss gardening. I didn't even get to plant my favorite bulbs during the winter. The ones from last year actually popped up but they look small b/c that's how it is. You've got to plant new ones every year.
Now I tag the people who commented on my last post! Hope you gals haven't done this tag yet. It's cool if you don't do tags too. :)
